Being from New England I had to do my tribute the The New England Patriots.
Still a WIP, needs a little shadowing and something around the lettering. Please be kind, I'm still learning :55:

Maybe it's the lighting, or maybe it's like that, but the dark to light red fade looks pretty cool. Doing anything else for it? What kind of base are you using on that.

Ya Mutt, It has a fade between the red and blue coz I messed up and didn't mask the red when I sprayed the blue. Oppssss...but it does look cool. I am using AA coz I am painting in my bedroom and the base was coarse aluminum. It was originally a white Precision Bass with a Red Tortoise shell pickguard. I'm a liitle rushed with it. I have a show next Sunday and want to have it cleared and working before the show.

Thanks Shane,
I know it's not perfect but that's why I wanted to work on my guitars before I tackle a customers. It's also a good way for me to learn this new cutter I got. Ya..... I got a cheapie US Cutter but it works for what I need. Since I'm cutting every now and then I figured I would try it for the price.

This is good. You are out there giving it a shot, and heck I bet you will paint this a few times just cause you want to. I notice that the pick guard is a similar shape to the top of the NE Pats logo. You could have used that by making the pic larger and it could follow that flow even off of the guard. You could have ( and maybe you did) removed the pick guard and designed this and put it back on afterward for the same two tone feel to the Bass.
You can put the guitar shape in your plotter program roughly and then create your images around the pieces, then remove the guitar and cut out your individual pieces, for that shape.
I really like to look of this by keeping the face silver! I know you had a good time creating this!

Thanks everyone. I did the silver to replicate the Pats helmet. I know I'm doing it wrong but I need to do a quick clear so I have it ready this weekend. I have a few others to work on which I will take more time into getting it right. I was a fun project and when the Boston Bruins win the Stanley Cup this year I will do one for them. :-)
Actually I am planning on doing one for the Bruins, Red Sox and Celtics. That should be fun AND interesting.

Well folks....here it is.
The New England Patriots Bass. Not properly cleared. Don't have the time and will most likely redo it. So I sprayed AA Transparent Base to somewhat protect it...I hope.

I went with the silver base to reflect the color of their helmets. Now I HAVE to try the
"BASS" guitar from Chromewarrior
