2/3 of my thanks to Steve - and a BIG 1/3 to Marge for running the '6' while I was away...

I decided to join Cherie in Chattanooga for a few days while she attends her leadership seminar. They have a huge aquarium here that I'm going to try to wrangle the kids through while she is in her meetings. It should be interesting as I can't seem to control them in a hotel room, let alone a public place full of distractions....

You guys are probably getting pretty tired of hearing of my Edmonton trip, so I won't get back into that. But I do want to say that my batteries are surprisingly charged and I'm itching to get painting. We have a few days before a bike arrives and I'm really looking forward to running on some personal panels. There sure has been a lot of 'discussing of our options' going on around here, though, and it could be a very interesting year for us.

In other news - I did get the kids to do the drawing for the Skull-a-thon this morning and will be making the formal announcement/post when I get home tonight. I'll be checking with Diana a.s.a.p. about getting another one running pretty quick. I'm kinda on the fence between a 'Creature-a-thon' and a 'Pin-up-a-thon'... Might be something to discuss in chat. hmmmm....

Lastly - I promise! - I'm sooo pleased to say that I got invited to assist at ABU!!! I talked to Steve (BearAir) yesterday and he proposed the idea. I told him I would be thrilled to do it and help out wherever/however I could - AS LONG AS I WASN'T ASSIGNED *IN ANY WAY* TO LEAHY... That'd pretty much be a deal breaker. Pretty excited about that, though!!!

How was your week????

Take care,

Rod

P.S.
Thanks again Marge... and Steve.

A pin-up a thon gets my vote! Yea! I'm working on one now, and I'm getting frustrated with all the tiny cutout stencil pieces. It's my own fault. I could have made it bigger, but didn't think to. I'm slowly getting to understand how to work my new equipment and software, but it's still a long day in class. I think spring has finally arrived here, I sure hope so anyway. I replanted my tomatoes, and sure hope I don't have to do it again. I've had a good week, how about you?

Welcome back Rod..Congrats on the ABU gig. I have had to deal with Leahy for a several years now, it isnt that bad once you get past his tastes in liquor. HAHAHA He is a kick ass artists and drummer though...So I put up with him.
The closing for the house is getting closer, couple weeks away. Business is really picking up. Couple more bikes showed up this week and they weren't baggers. :) Alot of guitars. I head to LA tomorrow for some Top Secret developments. I will be able to share some of this soon.
Guitar class went great. Smooth sailing. Enjoyed the Tea Party with the entire family, strangely enough, no tea was consumed.

Have a great weekend.

Great to have you back Rod!
I hope in 2010 you get to teach your own class at ABU! That would be awesome.
Don't be so bummed about the thought of being asign to Leahy...he's pretty fun to hang out with: he tips over compressors and stuff so it's always funny in his class! ;)

I will be back to some work this week here: I got a rear fender laying around my shop since I got pregnant. Couldn't do it then so now I need to get cranking. Need to wet sand, tape flames, paint and bring to my boss where I used to work for clear. I hope it goes well...sometimes what seems like a quick and easy job has a way to come back and bite you in the wazzoo.

Jesse has been a wonderful boy all week. Can't remember the last time I heard him cry.... hahaha How cool is that!

Mike, good luck in LA!!! Thats awesome you got those great projects coming your way, whatever they might be!

So how was your week?

Annie :)

My week's been pretty quiet. We are still not sure what is going on with my daughter. Now they think it's anemia. But we are waiting for the doctor to get back in after being sick for the final ruling.

I did a quick T-shirt for a friend this week and not much else. I do have a Yin Yang and Dragon's piece that I'll be starting hopefully this evening. The dragons will be compliments of Rod's stencils. Wish me luck. i only hope I can do them justice.

I'm afraid that I won't be able to attend ABU this year. Money has gotten way to tight. It has become a tradition for my Dad and I to make the trip together and spend some time with each other. Oh well, I can hope for next year.

Last but not least, I think I've found a good home for the horse that I'm selling. I met with a couple on Saturday evening. They seemed very interested and very caring. They run an animal rescue from their home, so I know he'd have a good home. I just have to wait and see. I've got my fingers crossed. It will be hard to let him go as we have had him since he was 4 months old. He's now 6 and a big part of the family.

How was your week?:49:

I am having your "SLAVE" shirt printed right now

Well, my kids have left for Florida yesterday so that leaves me with some extra time on my hands which is a good thing. Things have been busy paint wise, a few helmets, a painting of a Canadian F-18 escorting a Russian Bear, The Great Correction Project as well as trying to fit in the time to finish up a couple gallery pieces. With any extra time this week, I hope to catch up on the spring organization around the house as well.

I did managed to snap a quick shot of the drawing I was working on before I shipped it out, sorry about the washed out color and the glare but hopefully you get the idea.

Keep it going! Let's hear about your week.......

Glad to hear everyone has had an alright week.

My week has been a very stressful one. Long story short... things don't look good at work, I may be looking to go in a new direction if the sit down I have today with the big boss man doesn't go well. Same old story under paid and not appreciated. Hopefully all goes well.

But no matter what happens today at work my day will not be ruined, I got a notice from the post office that My MOJO is here!!!! Once that 777 is in my hand nothing will stop me. Look out world here I come!! :13b:

How was your week?

Well my week has also been a stressful one..... not much painting going on... played a bit with a shirt I am doing. Signed the separation papers with the future EX..... just waiting for my pay out since she is buying me out of the house, dealing with lawyers and forms and papers.......BLAH!!!!!

on a positive note..... I found a Apartment to buy really nice place with a good sized den that I will be turning into my new airbrush studio, got an accepted offer and should be able to move in June 01st.

So hopefully I will soon be a painting fool once I get all settled in........ but it is going to be a loooong 6 week wait to move in.....

the Pic is of part of the living room and the doorway to the den/ soon to be Airbrush studio.....also not my furniture or art work hanging up....lol

Hey there everyone. I have been quieter than normal around here.
My Fiance and I have been sick with the Flu for the fourth time this year. WTF is up with that. I have been busy with work, and getting ready for both of our families coming over this weekend for the first time since we got engaged. It will be a good time, just looking forward to relaxing a bit again. It seems that I have been non stop on stuff since the holidays. My birthday is next week and I could care less at this point :) I just wanna paint! At this rate, I may need to know the Panel Swap theme, cause I do not see much being produced in the next 6 months... so if I do not get ready I will be late. OK enough Woe is me.

I have been seeing some great art coming from others and I am still inspired, everyday here. Thank you all for that. I do hope to have a newbie tip for next week, and lets see if I can get my Mojo in my hands and paint something up.

How was your week?

First off, you're very welcome, Rod. It was my pleasure to actually be of some use lately. I'm really glad that you'll get to spend some time tagging along with your kick-butt bride & hauling your cutey pie kids to cool places like aquariums. Good luck with that. But happiest of all is your ABU news. You lucky bastard. I'm so jealous, but you totally deserve it. You're gonna have the time of your life. But beware the robins & skunks. They've got some seriously sneaky wildlife over there, showing up when you least expect it! Don't forget to work in a nature walk if you can.
:em0100:

Jim, sorry about the teeny weeny pinup stencil frustration & your tomato do-over. Better I guess than teeny weeny tomatos & pinup stencil do-overs. If you need any more, I've got 145 tomato plants in my house ready to be potted up!!! Come on over!!!

Good luck on your Super Duper Ultra Secret Project, Mike. Hope the non-bagger streak continues!

Annie, all I gotta say is WOOOOHOOOO! You go, girlfriend! Can't wait to see you posting your stuff again! (Fire & Ice, Fire & Ice!) ;)

HP, I'm sad to hear about ABU, but glad you've hopefully found a home for your horse friend. Maybe you'll be able to visit? I am keeping your daughter in my thoughts for a speedy resolution to her problem. I can't imagine how stressful that must be for your family. Sending HUGE hugs of support your way!!!

Steve, sounds like you've got your hands full. Can't wait to see what you come up with for the contest. Oh, & a word of advice... Maids are a helluva lot cheaper than wives!

Auz, good luck with the boss. Too bad we can't put in a good word for ya! ;) I really loved your 777 panel, so I'm stoked for you that the MOJO is finally there. Can't wait to see what you do with it! YAY!

Dizzy, wishing you the best for a quick & painless deal with your ex. That can't be any fun, but the place you described sounds like it will be the perfect thing & hopefully well worth the wait.

Iamedogg, starting your panel early is a great idea. Once that Big Day gets closer, you won't have time for much else. Hope you & your woman get to feeling better soon so you can have fun at your get-together!

Me? I go in at 1:30 to get the cast cut off, new xrays, then either a brace or a new cast. I'm bringing my camera cuz my oldest is dying to see what it all looks like under there, & really wants to see my xray. It's a beautiful sunny day, & Andy gets to come back from Texas a full day early, so despite the fact that our new truck has developed a sudden case of dead-battery-itis, nothing is keeping me from smiling, thinking happy thoughts & hopefully getting my new arm support terribly grungy in the garden planting blueberries, peas & whatever else I can squeeze in before my daycare pickup.
:em0100:

"Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, & never regret anything that made you smile. Life may not turn out to be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance like nobody's watching."

Have a wonderful day! :15:

Well I went to the Eye Doctor, got to set up an appointment next week for eye surgery. So may be a couple of more weeks before I get it done. I hope it's not longer. I've been working on my Bronco finally. Hope to put Darth Vader on the top of the camper this weekend. Well at least start doing it. He shouldn't be to hard, he's all blacks and grays, w/ a couple of lights and a light saber. I'll post pictures.

Once again, welcome back Rod!! It is nice to have the "originator" of the page 6 back on the job!

This week was kinda nuts in BORRRRRING Stuff for me. I had to finish up both First Quarter and 2008 Corporate Taxes and get our personal taxes in order. No fun. Pffft.

I feel very fortunate that Mike has gotten rather busy in the shop. Though things in the economy are starting to show some positive signs, I hesitate to get too comfy.. hehehhe.

I am excited about Mike's weekend adventure, and am hoping for things to work out quickly so we can let you all in on it.... and get to work!

A few more weeks of agony are still ahead.. until our home sale is funded. Then I am really hoping to be able to have a new lease on life... heheh.. seems like there is always something piling up on my plate, but I REALLY want to simplify.

I guess that is it for today.... What else is going on?

Well mike, hope you have fun hangin' with, uh, well, guess I'm not aloud to say, but have fun lol.

Well, we finished up the guitar building class on Sunday and I made it back home tuesday night. I haven't really done anything since then, I need to shape the neck a little thinner and do some work on the body before I'm ready for paint. And then I gotta finish the fretwork and all that, and then all the fun wiring.....I should be gettin' signals from russia by the time I'm done. :3: I'm already thinkin' of getting some wood and trying an archtop since mike recommended building one and it looks like fun.....gonna get me a 2x10 and some maple for the neck and maybe sides.
