3.5 Day Intense Airbrush Instruction with Mike Learn - Edmonton Alberta Canada
Take years off your LEARN-ing curve with Mike Learn's hard-hitting curriculum that will put you on the cutting edge of airbrushing and technology. Mike's exclusive techniques and teaching style will excite and motivate you as you watch yourself improve by the hour. While classes are geared towards people with at least some working knowledge of airbrushing techniques, all skill levels are welcomed. As always, the curriculum will cover freehand, shielding and advanced masking techniques, composition, content, lighting, use of transparent and opaque color, using the computer as a tool, and much much more. Mike has ramped up his instruction to also incorporate many elements of "Creating From Within." Through group discussion and demos of the principles of good design, how to choose and use a reference, core shadow, light and reflection, Mike will give you tools to help you put your imagination to canvas.

First off, thanks Shane, Mike, Mitch and everyone up there. It was a fantastic experience for me as well as what I hope for everyone else. We covered alot of ground in a very short time. It was great to see Blake again. Glad he took the time to come up and say hello!
The class was quite challenged the first day. As is needed to appreciate the second project and to help with absorbing the information from what they are viewing. Everyone met the challenge with grace and ambition. I was enjoying the project myself as well. I got to see Terminator while I was up there. Kick ass movie. Made it to the Sgt. Supply Military surplus too. HEHEHEHE
The blindfolded experiment was to force creativity in a direction never followed. It was a very serious trip down a creative path. Kind of a cause and reaction experiment. I will be using it more for some very surreal stuff in the future. Stay tuned.
The flight was good despite a very small plane both ways. Good to be home and see the family. Was really inspired and hungry to get back and create, until I get a shitty call from a disrespectful customer who left a unprecedented message on my phone this morning when I was on the plane. He was complaining how he didnt get my emails when I barely got any myself up there, and I didn't call him while I was in Canada. My phone was on Roam the entire time and half of my calls went to busy signal. And at 5 bucks a min, I didnt think anything was more important than the class. I simply do not put up with that shit anymore. Little to his knowledge, I did send him the info he needed from Shane's computer. The sad part is, this was supposed friend, who didn't have the money to pay for a bike I painted, sent to him anyway, allowing him to make payments. 25 year friend ship severed today. Not expecting the money.
Just the final lesson of a great weekend.
Regardless, I will not let it get me down. Maybe for just a few hours, but no one should have to put up with that.

Mike, I admire your strenght so much :3b:
This is the kind of stuff that brings me down for weeks. I hope it resolves quickly.... maybe it won't but at least you walk out of this being the better man.
Glad you had a good time up in Canada :)
Maybe someday I'll be able to fly you up on the east coast! Gonna work hard on that :D

Couldn't have said it better myself, Chica! Wasn't a whole helluva lot you could've done about it, so for him to be freaked out is pretty unreasonable. At least you were having a great time & doing what you do so well.
Glad to have home safe & sound!

Mike... sorry to hear a long time friendship was severed.. a shame to have someone pull the "buddy card" ....sounds as tho' that was lost...
My grandfather put it best...
Friendships are like a garden... nurture and cultivate the ones you want to see grow...
and pluck out the bad ones like weeds....
sorry to hear for what its worth pal...
