I was going to outline the butterfly with my hairy brush originally but thought it might be frowned upon!! did it anyway (after advice) and it makes it look so much better eh. Many thanks for all the kind words and encouragement.

Ruth it looks beautiful with that black outline!
Good job girl! That took caer of the marks on the paper from the mask.

Yeah Ruth, that makes it look a lot better. And there's no worries about using a hairy brush, Rod does and we still like him, sorta...hehe

Can you save the pics as jpg's though? So we can just view them on the site. Again, great job!!!! :D

The pinstripe looks good. You know that using a hairy brush is how you pinstripe, right?

Great fix! The butterfly looks wonderful! Never be afraid to mix techniques to create your paintings. You may find that outlining the flowers with a dark red & the leaves with a dark green kind of pulls the whole style of the painting together. But even if you leave it just like it is, it looks great. Way to go!
