Hi there!
It's so nice to see someones first piece. Make sure you keep it to mesure your progress with time. You will be amazed!

It seems you are using opaque colors. What paint are you using? A transparent paint would help you to have a lot more variations in the color you are shooting.

You should use freehand stencils to crisp up some edges. If you don't know what those are, let us know and I'll post a pic of some.

Thats some nice work, especially for a first and it's all freehand.
Good start!
Keep it coming.
Annie :)

Hey, thanks. I'm using vallejo paint. Get it from a local store. It's pretty cheap, but good to practice with. I only used black, light grey, mahogny, yellow and red. Nothing special. They were out of white. Getting that on friday hopefully.

I keep all my drawings... It will be fun to lay them out in a month to see the pregress. Can't wait :)

Looking at their site, you would want to try and get their Model Air paints:
http://www.ttfxmedia.com/vallejo/cgi-bin/_modelis.asp?p1=ing&p2=modelairtecnicas

That company has a large product line. Thanks for sharing

I wish I had kept my first try..
I would reccoment getting a good qualty white paint. Some brand made for airbrushing. If the brand you use now is thinnable with water you can tint it with vallejo (if it's acrylic).
You can get airbrushpaint online in Norway on airbrush.no (http://airbrush.no/) or lillerolf.com (http://www.lillerolf.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=47&zenid=6a942b8c1d98a510835bf4790fe53aec).

Don't forget to practice on both paper and hard surfaces, they behave very different (..as you will find out)

exactly like heia said pratice on anything you can find, paper towels, old sheets cardboard, any metal etc, if it stands still paint it. practice alot. looks real good for this first piece. save it to compare with in a few months from now. Michel
