Being a beginner myself, I think it's good. I know how hard the freehand stuff is. It's not as easy as some make it look. If only they made erasers for airbrushes. lol

Did you use a reference? If not I would suggest drawing one up or grabbin' a good ref photo of the style you are trying to achieve. I didn't notice it too bad, but remember not to draw with the airbrush. You want to paint volume. Pick a light source and stick to it. I'll stop there cuz that should get ya thinkin. I think you are on the right track and will only get better with time and practice. Just don't give up and you'll be miles ahead. Keep on keepin on. Hope that helps

its gittin better man, keep at it, when your painting you really got to be looking at somthin to get your self a idea where your going, look at it as where the dark spots and hi lights are, not as the over all picture, to me ya got light every where which leads to a flat looking painting, one that only on one plane, the cool part about air brushing is your able to trick the eye into making it 3D lookin whit the use of shadows and light sources, like deetz said get your self some reference materials and study them to try and see what the painted did to achieve the look he got. :hockey:

One of the nice things about painting on a black board is that you have an eraser. It's black paint. It's okay to lay the white down a little heavy. Just go back in and slowly work the shadows back in with a dark grey or black or both. I would use a transparent grey, because it is the most forgiving. It will take a lot more paint to darken it up than if you just used black. As the others have said, get some reference in front of you. You don't have to copy it, but see how the light plays off of the different surfaces. It will really help. Once you have the skull where you want it, use some shielding or mask off the outside of the skull and give it that edge...more like the teeth. It will really pop after that. Keep it up.
