3.5 Day Work Smarter NOT Harder Class - Boulder, Co. Colorado
Oct 9 - 12, 2008

Take years off your LEARN-ing curve with Mike Learn's hard-hitting curriculum that will put you on the cutting edge of airbrushing and technology. Mike's exclusive techniques and teaching style will excite and motivate you as you watch yourself improve by the hour. While classes are geared towards people with at least some working knowledge of airbrushing techniques, all skill levels are welcomed. Curriculum will cover freehand, shielding and advanced masking techniques, composition, pin up art, content, lighting, use of transparent and opaque color, using the computer as a tool, and much much more. This year's classes will also incorporate many elements of "Creating From Within." Through group discussion and demos of the principles of good design, how to choose and use a reference, core shadow, light and reflection, Mike will give you tools to help you put your imagination to canvas.

Come prepared to be challenged and ready to think different!!

For more information, reservations or payment options, email Diana at info@learnairbrush.com or call me at 303-828-0370.

Classes are $750 for approx 30 hours of instruction, breakfast, lunch and snacks each day and a party on Sunday. We will work with you on lodging options and transportation from Denver International Airport. Classes are limited to 10 students. Reserve your seat today!!

If you are at low elevation, you may want to start training now with some serious cardio workouts so you can even THINK about the trails... lol

I went to a work smarter, not harder class back in 2004 when I first started painting bikes. I was just curious if the classes are still pretty similar. I wouldn't mind attending this class but i didn't know if we would be doing pretty much the same things we did the first time. (although, some sharpening up on those lessons wouldn't hurt)

The class has been my biggest help by far though (along with the website)

I can most definitely tell you that Mike's curriculum has evolved, improved and matured over the years, and his instruction is always fresh and relevant. He does, however, have a teaching technique that is fairly consistent.

One thing I can say with confidence, even if the instruction was IDENTICAL, you would hear or pick up on something new. Mike's ability to impart knowledge and to evaluate and focus on individual strengths and weaknesses is pretty impressive. Most students (I would say all, but that is a little arrogant) leave Mike's class thinking that the instruction was made "just for them".

We have many many many students that have taken the classes 2, 3 and 4 times and have left with something new each and every session.

I'm looking at possibly coming to this seminar. I was just curious if anyone knows some info about hotels and flights.

what would be a close hotel for a short commute and i was wondering if denver International would be the best airport to fly into

Head Roller
08-12-2008, 02:38 PM
Yes... Denver is only about 20 minutes from us.. I will arrange pick up. Hotels are best in Longmont and usually we can arrange for students to get together for transportation to and from hotels.

Malorie

How long of a comute would you folks be from Aurora? I may arrange it as a visit with my sister and comute from her place. I have a plane ticket I need to use or loose. :)

Aurora is South of Denver.. so I am going to guess 40 miles. The good news is that we live very very close to the Express Road which makes the trip a breeze... We could probably even work in a pass for the toll.

:)

If I remember from the last time I was there, my sister lives pretty close to the bypass on the east side of Denver, so it would be a pretty quick trip, barring morning traffic. :tank: :71: ;) I know she's only about 15-20 min south from DIA.

What is the class schedule? Days and times?

Head Roller
08-23-2008, 11:37 AM
You will not experience traffic on the Expressway.. that is what is so great about it.

Class is Thurs - Sun... approximately 8:30 - 5:30/6 Thurs - Sat and half day with a BBQ on Sunday.

Can't say I didn't earn the right to make this one. In the past two weeks I've battled the flu and bronchitis with a cracked rib. In the past 7 days I've worked 120 hrs to finish up a project at work so that they'd be running strong. Look out Colorado, Johnny D. is coming and there ain't a damn thing going to stand in my way, hahaha, weeeeee. :p In fact I'm loading the wife's mini right this minute to head to the airport. See you all in a bit, rock on people....... !!!!
