I had a request on a how to for customizing your profile.Here we go.

Just for those that don't know, we'll start at the main page. Simply click on your name in the upper right hand corner.

You should be at your public profile page. Click on the Customize Profile, shown here circled in red.

You should see a screen like this.

Scroll down the page to any selection, (I chose block borders), and click on the preview button.

Now click on the colored square, (I already have yellow picked, your color will be different), that is shown here circled in red.

As you will see, you have a color chart pop up, I'm going to pic blue.

Now click the preview button again to see your changes. Notice the arrow showing that the block border is now blue.

You can go through all the parts of the page and customize them in the same fashion.




Background Image




To change the background image, you need to have a pic ready in your album on your profile page. If you already have something there that you like, then follow the instructions below.


Scroll to the block labeled Main, shown here circled in yellow. Then right click on the "album" shown here circled in red.

Now select the "Open in New window". This will make it easier to navigate back and forth to the customize page and albums page.

You should be at your albums page.

Now navigate to a picture that you like.

Be certian you are veiwing the full sized image. Now right click on the image and select Properties, shown here circled in red.

Now highlight the link, right click and hit copy. Then click the OK button.

Now switch to the customize page. Right click and paste the link into the background image block.

Now click preview to make sure that the link worked. If it did, click the Save button.

Now lets check it out. Click on your name in the upper right hand corner.

Cool stuff... I'll have to play around a bit myself... I hadn't yet noticed the was a customize setting :)

Your tutorial rocks dude. You've spelled everything out well enough that a 5 year old can do it. "Thou I'm sure I'll still have trouble."

Thanks, a person could actually work on a color scheme fussin with GUI
I went with German SS fall '44 Europe Camouflage.
