STATUS ON MEMBER SITE UPGRADE

Hello All! Just wanted to give you a quick update on the status of the latest and greatest MLA site upgrade. The new site is www.learnairbrush.com and it is loaded with new content, the vault is organized and searchable and we have added TONS of new categories, forums and departments. We are just about ready to make the BIG CHANGEOVER which will require an overnight of closing down this site and moving all the databases to the new site. This is going to happen in the next couple days. I have to have help with it and am waiting for MrJustice to catch the bad guy in IL so he can stay up with me one night and help me move all files.

I hope that the upgrade is seamless, but my guess is we will run into a snafoo or 2. Right now i am working on simplifying the subscription and streamlining the access. Once that is figured out we are rolling.

Thank you for all the awesome suggestions. This new site is designed to be on on-going project and contains public, semi-public and private areas. We hope to make it the best artists' resource on the web and will work on it every day til it is! As the site grows, we will be asking some of our members to help us with content and perhaps moderate some of the additional forums.

You guys are awesome and have inspired the direction of the MLA educational experience. THANKS!!

The boards will be closed down at some point today, and will be down for several hours, probably overnight. . . When the conversion is complete, you will all be directed to the new site with the new content, new departments and TONS of information. I am hoping the conversion will be very smooth, but there probably will be a few hic-cups here and there while we get all the subscription information and permissions perfected.

The new site will be consistently updated, not just on a monthly basis and is going to have several "member submitted" areas for you to be involved in.

The potential for the new format is enormous. I have already made a list of great ideas (many inspired by our members) and you will see some really really great content come out of this place.
