I tried using my airbrush today, and cleaned like the book says, but it still gives me no consistent spray, even with water. I checked the needle and nozzle for clogs and found none. I can spray air fine, but when I pull the trigger back it sprays then stops and sprays and stops. It is an old badger, and from what I can tell, it looks like the parts are brass. I CAN'T LEARN LIKE THIS!!
Anyways I can't afford the MOJO at this time, so I was thinking about the PEAK C-5 Gravity Feed Airbrush. I wanted to know if this would be ok for me while I am learning. Also do you guys sell ab holders? Does the Peak come with a quick connect? I don't know what the problem is with my other ab, but it is really frustrating. HELP!!:crucified

Peak is a great brush. It does not come with a quick connect. I use a peak also.

Do the quick connects that you sell for the mojo fit the Peak?
Also do you sell ab stands? I would like to buy every thing from one place if possible.
And if I get the cable will that work for the Peak also and would I need the male and female quick connects?

how strong is your compressor do you have a regulator on your compressor, does your regulator have a water catch and have you drained the water out of all places on your compressor?

This is my compressor. It has a tank regulator and hose regulator. I don't have a water catch but I drain my tank after every use. I think it may be more of a seal thing with my gun after reading a few posts here.

don't hate your tools man! they got feelings you no, hahahahahha now did you take your nozzle off and clean it with a tooth pick? then thread it back on with some bees wax to seal it up a bit. Next try and make sure that your needel isnt bent near where it goes thru the nozzle you can do this by rolling it on a piece of glass and watch the tip and see if it goes up and down when you roll it.
hope this helps man!

I'll try that. I don't have any beeswax as of yet.

Doh! I'm such a noob. I just noticed that there was no little nylon washer on the nozzle where it should be. I replaced it with one from one of the extra nozzles in the kit. Hopefully it will work better tomorrow when I can make a little noise with the compressor. No worries though, I got another brush on the way.

Update: I tried the ab this morning and it's still spitting. Probably a bad or wrong needle or needs the beeswax. The kit was given to me and is about fifteen years old and was hardly used, but it only had two needles and three different tips. F M L. I have tried them all with both needles, so back to the drawing board. (literally)

Update: As a last ditch effort, I threaded the nozzle back on with a little melted candle wax on the threads, since I haven't made it to the store yet. Guess what? It worked! Thanks Shane:You_Rock_
Now I will have two working guns when the other gets here. I guess I can practice now while I wait.
