HI ALL,
A couple of us where talking last night in the chat room about the new articles that Diana put up yesterday, and we came to the conclusion that she needs to here from us more about the stuff that she does and what we like and what we would like to see. So i thought about it all day and came up with the conclusion that she rocks, now i know you all think so too but its like yer wife sometimes we tend to take them for granted, (you all know you do) any ways here is my feeble attempt to thank her!

I joined the site about 2 years ago (i think) and at the time i had a riped copy of illustrator 10, I had no clue as to how to do any thing with it but a buddy of mine gave it to me so I had it. Then the dude that did all the airbrush work for me moved to northern Washington so i figured i would give it a shot, I soon found out it was nothing like a paint gun, it was really hard for me to learn this new tool so i started looking around for some help on line and found this spot. Soon after that i saw mike using these spray mask's that were some how cut out and started looking into this new found (to me ) method and then i found out i needed to learn the illustrator thingy, well Diana helped me and she has been very patient with me and now I'm no expert but i have came a long way since then i tell you what! I owe it all to her! With out her and this site i would still be a tape junkie having to tape out every thing by hand taking so much longer than it should, and mike what can i say man your the best you take so much of your time to help us out and I'm sure there's times you just want to kick back with your wife and yet she's always there for us!

In closing i would like to say, to all of you guys and gals sitting back thinking that its not worth the money to get a member ship, YOU ARE WROUNG, this place is awesome behind the curtains, come on in and learn if she can teach me in less then 2 years she can teach any body!

and to Mike and Diana, thank you so much you two you will never no how much it means to me for your guy's help, I can only hope to try and help others as you have helped me!:You_Rock_

almost for got, I like the sketchbook and illistrater tips the best hr!

I misss the LearnLive classes they were great and i'm looking forward to
getting my issue of AB Mag,by far the best content in a airbrush magazine
out there.Plenty to read and Learn, hehe

TGIF parties Rock also.
It's even great to just kick back in Chat and just BS and talk shop

Thanks to Mike and Diana helping take my concept of the Airbrush Flag
for Randy and making it reality.:fing02:

I don't get as much time as i use to on the net,but i make sure when i do i
stop in and check out what's new and what everyone has to show.
There is alot of talented airbrusher's on this site and just like Shane i'm sure
everyone here has learned something new from being a part of the great
airbrush site.

Way to go Shane,
You're right we do sometime forget the two most important people on the site.
We all owe them a bunch of credit. I wouldn't be doing what I love without all the help I received.
This was and continues to be a learning experience I never could have imagined.
This site was the most important find ever. I thank the day I stumbled across it.

Diana, Mike I thank you for all you do.
You're always respected and appreciated.

Regards
EK

Mike and Diana are revolutionizing the Airbrush Industry.

These are the times that we will be able to tell our children and our grand children about.

"I remember joining the Airbrush Revolution in '05 Sonny, you whipper snappers wouldn't have it so easy if it weren't for us enlisting in the Learnie Corps................"

Good times!

Thank you so much for sharing your thought guys.
It is a very rewarding feeling to see you guys crossing bridges of uncertainty and developing your skills as much as you have. Regardless of our instruction, it has been up to you to apply it. You know the saying, you can lead a horse to water..... That is why we decide to approach the live classes the way we are now. with class participation. It was too much of a pony show the other way. This brings in more interaction by those willing to participate. I am hoping to see more of what everyone has started.

Thank you all for making this community what it is today and what it will become tomorrow.

Special thanks to Steve at Bear Air for all of his support when other turned their noses at us.

I haven't been here as long as some of you guys, But everyone has been very helpful!
I planned on getting a little further along with My airbrush skills this winter as it is usually a bit slower this time of year. Fortunately or unfortunately depending on how You look at it I was swamped with work this year, And I took on a huge project remodeling the back end of My shop which should be done this weekend Yeehaa!!
Mike and Di are the greatest, always willing to help and answer questions, give advice etc. Not only to the paid members but anyone that happens to come along, How cool is that?
One part of Me looks at the membership dues as I look at any other buisness decision cost vs gain, And i can tell you it's worth every penny! The other part of Me wants to help out in some small way to keep this site growing and to help some of the most unselfish caring people I have had the pleasure to get to know.:fing02:
Thanks again!

Believe me.... Mike, DI and the remainder of the members here... I thank you, and I thank you guys a lot. I do realize the effort that goes into this site and hte flood of information. Plus the generosity that everyone here has. I have learned A LOT from this site. Whether watching the web cam, reading the post, reading the Mag.... or whatever... I know one thing for sure. I would not have been able to put out the latest projects (golf clubs) if it were not for this site and all its participants. I look at this site as the ultimate kudos on your work. People here are genuine and the comments on our work from all members is awesome and helpful. So I thank EVERYONE.

I know I tend to be a man of few words here, god knows you all wont let me forget it!
I just would like to let Mike,Diane and everyone here know just how much this place means to me.
One night in chat someone was looking at my website and made a comment to the effect..."It gets to a point in your site where it looks like someone flipped a switch and you work got better really quick".
My response was simple...I said it was because of "This place",all that I have learned and the confidence I have gained are invaluable and immeasurable.

I say thank you to the Learns and to everyone here that make this site such a special place!

Its great to see a thread like this started .... Coz we all appreciate what Mike and Di have and are doing for the Airbrushing community around the world but forget to thanks them. This site gives us the incite, knowledge and confidence to achieve our dreams.
To be honest.... :banghead: I've wasted years not getting into ABing coz of probs with the right paint mix ( AB spitting ) and using the wrong type of Airbrush, and most of all the wrong advise errrrrrr.
I know a good tradey does'nt blame his tools but a great AB really does help alot hehehehehe. The information that Mike and Di ( lets not forget ole Krashky :haha: ) Is really outstanding.
Trying to get Airbrush techniques out of some artists is like getting blood out of a stone, but a small outlay of money - gives you an endless ammount of knowledge at your fingertips .....
How easy is that....

So can everyone raise their glasses and we'll all have a toast to" The Learns

Cheers

Nice thread Shane

I brought my AB 15 years ago painted graphics and lettering on my truck. Used stencils for everything. That was it I had enough fun, the end of that. Last year when Trick My Truck show started airing I started wishing that I could do a lot better. I sign up for a AB class with Scott MacKay He told us that it would be a great idea to check out the learn website. A little hasten at first (what can you learn from a web site.) so I signed up. My garage has been so cold I haven tried to practice that much with AB. Right now I’m just trying to learn the basics with what little time that I have spent my skills are better. Ok I’ve bored you all enough bottom line BEST WEBSITE anywhere to learn Airbrushing.
So Thanks to Mike and Di for always giving 110% to all the members needs and to all the other members that help make this website the best. To Mike and Di if you can think of anyway that us members can help to make this website better just ask I’m sure we will all help.
Thanks to Shane for reminding us to thank Mike and Di for all they have done.
Paul
P.S. Hope I didn’t bore anyone too much. LOL Also hope that all members post something to show how much they appreciate this WEBSITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also would like to extend my gratitude to Mike, Di, and everyone involved in this site to make it the great community it has become.

I have been thinking about this thread since it has posted. I been trying to figure a way how to explain what it has done for me without it turning into a short story. Bare with me as I will try to keep it short as possible. About 3 years ago I had been going to alot of bike shows. At these shows I was thinking the art work on these machines was awesome. So I thought this would be a great opportunity to combine a few interests of mine. First of course art and then bikes & hot rods. So I did a little sufing on the web and found Rolling Chrome that lead me to this site. After becoming a user I was still thinking of painting, but not doing anything with it. Then I recieved an E-mail about ABU 2005 and thought this would be a great chance for a vacation and Learn something along the way. So I sighed up with really no airbrush experience what so ever. Little did I know the impact it would have. After attending I was hooked. I spent alot of my free time reseaching Materials and technics. After looking on the web I decided this site was what I was going to use for alot of my references. Needless to say I have not been disappointed.

Not only has it taught me so much. It has inspired to be creative in a way I haven't been in almost 18 years. You see I started drawing at a young age; Around third grade. I pursued this aggressivley throught out my school years. I attended a specialized school from seventh grade on. It focused on performing and creative arts. It was alot like the t.v. show Fame. My focus was on creative arts but had to participate in all curriculums as per the programs outlines. This was very rewarding. The downside of this was it became something I was not comfortable with. What I mean is I was getting burned out by the work load. Between the advanced academic classes, 5 different arts classes and commisioned pieces I was losing it creatively. After graduating I attended a community college to get my prerec's out of the way before attend one of the 2 schools I had scholarships for. During this time I was bored silly. All the material being covered I had already been through. Then I started doing more research as what kind of living I was to make as a grahpic artist. Thats when I decided to work and do my art on my terms. Not one of my better decisions. Well we all know how much time is left after work, wine and women. Needless to say I would do a couple of pieces a year, but never satisfied. Until I started brushing after ABU. The Learns and all the artists I have had the pleasure to meet have been such an inspiration that words could not explain. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Not to just Ditto everyone else posts... but Ditto for me too!

I've never been so glad that an airbrush I was going to upgrade to anyway came with a set of stencils in my life!

I was going to order a Peak C-5 from Bear Air anyway...and it came with a set of free Learn Stencils...or maybe it was for ordering a pair of AB's, i forget.

Anyway, I looked at the stencils and said, "Those are varied and Cool!"... and ordered. Then when they came I thought, "Maybe I should look at this guys webpage and see who's stencil system I just bought." That was early last July, before that I just used my Aztek to paint yams and a few other items...fighting my brush and paints a lot.

This site not only showed me what was possible to do with an airbrush, but showed me and encouraged me that it was possible for ME to do it with an airbrush!

I mean, about the same week as I signed on here, this top notch artist gives a class on his webcam and chat ... for free! ...and the amount of information you get access to for a small price ... AMAZING!

The people on the site are friendly, encouraging, and (my god!) willing to share information freely!!!

This is the rising tide that lifts all ships in action!

Not very long ago this kind of sharing and teaching was unheard of , and without it, I probably wouldn't be painting in this mediium.

I certainly wouldn't be enjoying myself the way am!

PS: and the videos! I can't say enough good things about them too!

Yah, What they said!!!
A little more than a year ago I bought an airbrush from my paint supplier and decided to give the custom paint and airbrush gig a go. I've been in the collision industry for many years and any time I can leave the insurance company out of the loop I'm glad to do it. With custom work I can get paid fair value for what the work is worth not what some insurance company feels like paying for.
Anyway, Ron Fleanor came to my area for a tech night demo type of thing and it was great exposure to what I was getting into. Thanks Ron! I was able to talk to him a bit after and ask some questions. Of course just starting out my questions where about reduction and air pressure. He refered me to this site and the dvd's and I'm forever grateful.
I began poking around the site and learned a bunch. Then I ordered some dvd's. SO GREAT! Then I joined with a full membership and could not possibly regret it. I've learned so much in a short time that I'm really amazed. Then I ordered my MOJO and air essential pre cut stencils. AWESOME!!! Did I mention the service I've received!!! Second to none when it come to dealing with the Learns and Bear Air! Not just great service but continued support after. Let's face it, some of us are pretty new to this and need some tips after the purchase.
So now I have a gx-24 to go with corel draw x3 and still can't believe how far I've come.
SO I ,ALSO, WOULD LIKE TO THANK MIKE, DI, AND CREW AS WELL AS STEVE FROM BEAR AIR AND EVERYONE ELSE ON THIS SITE. Without this site and the efforts of Mike and Di I really don't know where I'd be in the learning curve. I know I would not be able to do half of the work I've done without you all!
SO THANK YOU MIKE, DI, AND CREW FOR SUPPLYING ME WITH THE TOOLS AND KNOWLEDGE TO DO THE BEST WORK I'M CAPABLE OF!!! And as others have said, just let me know if there is ever any thing I can do to help.
Thanks, Scott

I have been drawing and painting most of my life. I have now been part of the LearnAirbrush.com family for just over a year.

I not only get paid for what I do now but I also have gained an enormous amount of knowledge. So if you are not a member yet jump on in it is worth every penny!

Thanks to the Learn's and the entire forum this is by far and second to no one the best place for airbrushing and art on the internet.

Thanks Mike & Diana for everything now and yet to come. I will be here as long as you are all here.

Peace
