Just scuff up whatever you paint if its straight metal with some 320 or somethin. If its already base coated you can go right over it. If you spray candies in the airbrush be careful and maybe add more reducer or open the flow more or youll spit spider web type shit. I recoemend most of the time doin whatever yer gonnna do in white then going over it with candies and other colors. Take your tiem and really really make sure yer paint is reduced right, if it spits you probly need mored reducer or more air pressure. You can get a fine line if you reduce righgt. I have to reduce my paint like 5parts reducer-1part paint approx and with candies, I am not sure how much activator to add exactly I just throw it in lol, dont measure much really.
Take your time and maybe use some referance photos for initial inspiration then go where your head tells you to go.
SEM is a good brand you should not have problems with the paint.
