Hey ya'll... just thought I would add 2 cents here since I used my moflo a little more seriously this weekend.
I used it lay down the UMF flake and apple red Kandy to create the red ghost flames on a set of tins. I knew it was better at laying down more material than the mojo so I thought it would be perfect for this job.
It was, I was really impressed with how much material, and how smoothly it "flowed" through the job. So in that regard the mojo did as hoped perfectly.
Then came the suprise.
I had a couple of spots really close to the ghost flames that needed some black tough up. So I was going to pull out the mojo and and get in there by hand (and with a shield) and do some touch up. It was late in the night at this point and I was feeling lazy so I thought why not try the moflo. Now I remember in the class that Mike would swtich to a secondary brush when doing detail kandy application, so I thought.. "I shouldn't be doing this, this brush is for volume, not tight detail" but like I said I was feeling lazy.
So in I went.
First off... Instant paint response... like the mojo.
Second. Pulled off the cap and when in for detail. Then it hit me... I was pulling very tight hairlines with the moflo. I know I could pull tighter with the mojo.. but it was pulling waaaay tighter lines that I used to pull with say my hp-c+ (just to put it in comparison perspective).
So I have to say I am VERY happy with my moflo. Thing kicks ass. Big volume and tight hairlines, instant response.
I recomend this brush to anyone who has a need for this type of application.

well i still used the iwata for the main flames. the .2 of the mojo is to small for me on somthing this big. now the mo flow would rock the entire job. i started with the mojo and found things not quite to my normal so i switched to the . 3 iwata. i use the mojo no problem on motorcycle tanks. first truck i did a months.. got 2 more cars coming in the next month or so. and have 8 bikes in the shop for paint.....

oh well its good to be busy. to bad i have to keep the day job too for now. id love to make the jump to full time paint.

You and me both man. I have all the work I can possibly get done working 5 hours a night and all day Saturday and Sunday. A little more and I can quit the day job for good. But in the mean time... this commute 3 hours a day, work 8 hours at the day job, then another 5 on paint is killing me.... or building character... hehehe... depends on how you look at it.
good luck man.

I'm glad your doing good. But a 3 hour commute. Man thats a killer. Is it distance or just traffic?

It would be 1 & 1/2 hours but with bay area traffic it becomes 3 hours... haha.. and that's with carpool and the carpool lane.

I know that area well moon... I was stationed in valejo and lived in fairfield...the commute was easy then...that was 88-90 it was only about 50minutes then...loved that area tho....

My friend is coming up tomorrow. I think he has the HP-SB..not sure of the correctness here...Giving him my Iwata HP-CS so that he has 2 brushes. Hooked on the Rich-pen action
